Carol Martin, Franchise Owner

 Carol Martin has the honor of being the owner of the Lafayette Home Instead Senior Care franchise. Before moving to Lafayette and purchasing the franchise, Carol served as Human Resources Director for a large home health agency in Boise, Idaho and has over 15 years of customer service experience. Carol and her husband, Carl were married in 2001 and have one son, Garrett.

Carol Martin brings a serving heart to her business and is committed to improving the lives of her clients, CAREGivers and anyone else that she meets along the way. “I remember when I purchased the franchise from the previous owner in 2002. It was an exciting and heartfelt time for me. Just knowing that I so many families would put their trust in me to care for their loved ones was so humbling. It has been almost 10 years and that feeling remains.”

Nancy Miller, Client Care Specialist

Originally from Barlett, Tennessee, Nancy is a graduate of Creighton College in Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Human Resources. Nancy bring over 20 years of experience to the Home Instead Senior Care team and her depth of customer service is exactly what we look for. As Client Care Specialist with Home Instead Senior Care, she provides oversight to our client care systems, meets with potential clients, existing clients to ensure we are always exceeding expectations, and also oversees our safety program to make sure our CAREGivers work with safety in mind. Nancy is married, has a son and a daughter, and a granddaughter and great granddaughter. She brings a great level of energy and excellence to the Lafayette Home Instead family and we are so grateful for her addition to the team.

Crystal August, Staffing Coordinator

 A native of Lafayette and born in Jeanerette, Crystal is a graduate of Jeanerette Senior High and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is married to

Paul August and is the mother of a 10 year old son, JaKyre and 2 year old daughter, Destini.

Prior to joining the Home Instead Senior Care team in February, 2007, Crystal worked for 6 years in the hospitality industry. As Staffing Coordinator with Home Instead Senior Care, she manages the critical task of scheduling CAREGiver and clients. Crystal takes pride in ensuring that all of our client shifts are filled with the right CAREGivers. She knows how important it is to match clients and CAREGivers, so it’s her goal to find the perfect fit based upon each client’s individual needs and personality. Crystal screens only the most qualified applicants by conducting criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks and reference checks to allow for client and family member peace of mind. Her tremendous organizational skills and desire to attain client satisfaction, coupled with her personal commitment to helping others allow her to shine in this role. In addition to her responsibilities as Staffing Coordinator, Crystals oversees all logistics involved in guaranteeing prompt and accurate billing.

Susan Amos, Community Service Representative

Communicating to healthcare professionals and referral sources why Home Instead Senior Care is a solution for the aging population is what Susan Amos does best.  Susan joined the Home Instead Senior Care as Community Service Representative (CSR) in November 2009 and is a vital part of the Home Instead team. Her dedication to seniors stems from her experience in helping her own elderly mother maintain the dignity and independence that is so important to her as she ages. She knows the challenges her family deals with every day and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with others. Susan enjoys meeting with healthcare professionals, clergy, support groups and anyone else that will listen because it gives her the opportunity to provide solutions to the community on so many levels.
Susan is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana but currently resides in Youngsville, Louisiana with her husband, Danny. She has 2 grown children, Joseph and Jennifer and one granddaughter, Loa. Susan attended UL of Lafayette majoring in Education and has worked in the Healthcare Marketing field for over 25 years.
